An air raid hit al-Qaeda target in the outskirts of al-Qutn town of Hadramout province in Yemen late on Tuesday, killing two al-Qaeda militants, a local source told 26 September Net. The source said the strike targeted the militants while they were traveling on a vehicle loaded with a large quantity of explosives for the purpose of carrying out terrorist acts in Hadramout. The vehicle was completely destroyed and all those who were inside were killed. On the other hand, eight al-Qaeda suspects have been arrested Tuesday in al-Salam neighborhood in Jaar town after the security forces and the people’s committees launched a campaign of home raids where terrorists were hiding, a local source in Abyan province told 26 September Net. The source made clear that preliminary investigations with the terrorists arrested on Monday led to reveal the hiding places of these terrorists arrested on Tuesday, bringing the total number of suspected terrorists arrested in Jaar in the past 24 hours to 16. This came hours after the Yemeni high security committee annouced that one of the most dangerous elements of al-Qaeda in Baidha’a province and six others from different Arab nationalities have been killed. An official source in the committee said that a security operation was carried out in Manaseh area led to the killing of Abdullah Awadh al-Masri, also known as Abu Osama al-Marebi, who is a bomb-maker.
