
Yemeni Vice President General Ali Mohsen al Ahmar discussed here Tuesday with French ambassador to Yemen Jean Marc Grosjean bilateral relations and progress in peace talks, currently taking place in Kuwait.
During the meeting, al Ahmar lauded France's support for Yemen in accordance with the Gulf initiative, the outcome of national dialogue and international legitimacy resolutions, atop of which is the UNSC resolution 2216.
Highlighting Yemen's top priorities of fighting terrorism and rebuilding the war-wrecked country, the vice president raised alarm over Houthis' continued violations of ceasefire deals and attempts to hinder the peace process.
For his part, the French ambassador reiterated his country's support for Yemen's constitutional legitimacy.
He, meanwhile, hailed the embattled government's anti-terror efforts and keenness on restoring peace.
