Hundreds of thousands of Yemenis held a mass funeral here Wednesday for 19 civilian protesters who have been killed by the security forces loyal to President Ali Abdullah Saleh since Saturday.The mourners gathered at Al-Sitten (sixtieth) Street western Sanaa, holding photographs of those killed and demanding the resignation of President Saleh. They were also holding banners and Yemeni flags promising the tial of Saleh as well as all his loyal entourage that were behind the killing of innocent protestors.The Youth of the Peaceful Revolution, funeral's organizer, announced in a statement tonight that the death toll between Saturday and Tuesday reached 38, and the number of wounded reached 218.More than 500 people were affected by poisonous gas including ten in life-threatening conditions.More bodies will be buried in few days after the completion of their medical paperwork, the statement added.It also called the protestors to go on demonstrations on Thursday.
