"Future" bloc member Deputy Khaled Zahraman assured that March 14 wants the parliamentary elections to be held on time. "We (March 14 forces) want to reach a new electoral law not based on 1960 law," he told "Free Lebanon" radio on Monday. The MP refused to resort to proportionality law because it was influenced by arms presence. He added that "the opposition continues to communicate with Speaker of the House Nabih Berri to activate the committee's work and reach an appropriate new electoral law and at the same protect the security of its members who are threatened." He concluded that the Speech of Deputy Michel Aoun confirmed that March 8 had an intention to postpone the elections if the new law would not suit them.
