
Iran's Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif on Thursday conferred with the Army chief of staff General Raheel Sharif about Iran-Pakistan cooperation in international campaign against terrorism, IRNA reported.
Prior to meeting, Zarif paid tribute to the country's martyrs in premises of Pakistan Army Command Headquarters.
Zarif and Sahrif discussed major issues such as fighting terrorism and contribution to settlement of the regional crises and that of the Muslim World.
They underlined the need for strengthening mutual cooperation in all fields, especially in the spheres of defense and countering terrorism and promoting border security.
Meanwhile, Zarif is scheduled to confer with Pakistani Finance Minister Ishaq Dar and Speaker of the National Assembly of Pakistan Sardar Ayaz Sadiq later in the day.
