Iraqi Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari and US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in a telephone call Thursday discussed the Syrian crisis repercussions on neighboring countries, the situation of Syrian refugees in Iraq and Iraqi efforts to provide humanitarian aid. A statement by the Iraqi Foreign Ministry said that Zebari and Clinton also discussed Baghdad's willingness for a planned visit by a US high-level delegation to Iraq soon . The two sides also reviewed a number of issues of common interest, the statement added. The statement pointed out that Zebari stressed Iraq's rejecting the militarization of the conflict in Syria, noting that the two sides had agreed on continuing contact and consultation on the situation in Syria.
