Zimbabwean Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai on Wednesday met Chinese Vice Premier Wang Yang on bilateral ties. Wang said China-Zimbabwe cooperation has achieved a lot of new progress over the past few years. The bilateral trade hit historic highs, Chinese investment in Zimbabwe surged, exchanges in the non- governmental sector also accelerated, according to a statement issued by the Chinese delegation. Wang said China is willing to join Zimbabwe in efforts to boost mutually-beneficiary cooperations to benefit the two peoples. Tsvangirai said Zimbabwe appreciates China's consistent support and that the country can also learn from China's impressive economic developments, the statement said, adding that Tsvangirai welcomed Chinese investment and wished to strengthen the economic ties with China.
