Denouncing Israeli regime's decision to declare the Holy Qods as its capital, an Indian religious scholar Wednesday said that its aggressive polices have been detrimental to the peace in the region. Talking to IRNA, Maulana Dr. Hasan Komeili, General Secretary of Idara Tafheem-e-Islam said: Israeli regime had refused to vacate the occupied land and give Palestinians their right of self determination'. Its policies are designed to destroy the Palestinian nation, he added. Komeili noted that serious attempts were being made to change the demography of the Palestinian areas. The new Jewish settlements have come up in the occupied areas, where Palestinians are forced to leave. He further noted that the Middle East had remained a volatile region in the world for the past sixty years because of illegal occupation of Palestinian land and brutal aggression upon innocent women and children by the Zionist regime. Asked about any possible solutions to the decades old dispute, the Indian scholar said, “World nations must exert pressure on Israeli regime to observe all United Nations resolutions and vacate all the occupied Palestinian territories. He stressed that liberation of the Al-Aqsa Mosque and establishment of an independent Palestinian state will never be forgotton. Komeili underlined the need for all-out support for the Palestinian people to regain their denied rights.
