
At least 18 loyalists of Daesh terrorist group were killed and 11 others were wounded during an airstrike in eastern Nangarhar province, Afghanistan's Ministry of Defense (MoD) was quoted by Khaama Press as saying on Sunday.
The airstrike was carried out in the vicinity of Kot district where the loyalists of the terror group are actively operating.
A vehicle belonging to ISIS loyalists was also destroyed in the airstrike, MoD said.
Earlier, at least Daesh loyalists were killed and 7 others were wounded during an operation in Bati Kot district of Nangarhar province.
The loyalists of the terror group are believed to have significant presence in some parts of eastern Nangarhar province.
The Afghanistan National Security Council (NSC) earlier approved in principle the strategy to fight Daesh terrorist group as the loyalists of the terror group are attempting to expand foothold in the country.
