
At least 21 militants of (ISIS) group were killed and dozens were wounded in airstrikes carried out by the Afghan Air Force and coalition forces, local officials said Wednesday evening.
The airstrike was carried out in Achin district earlier on Wednesday targeting the loyalists of the group in Mamand Dara area.
The Afghan Ministry of Defense (MoD) said a commander of the group was also among those killed.
Provincial governor’s spokesman, Ataullah Khogyani, earlier said 20 militants of the ISIS group were killed and dozens of others were wounded in the raid.
He said several weapons, ammunition and explosives belonging to the terror group were also destroyed in the airstrike.
