
Six militants including a commander of the loyalists of (ISIS) group has been killed in an airstrike in eastern Nangarhar province of Afghanistan.
According to the local government officials, the airstrike was carried out in Haska Mina district, apparently by the US forces as an unmanned aerial vehicle was involved.
Provincial governor's spokesman Ataullah Khogyani confirmed that a commander of the ISIS group was killed with five others in a drone strike, according to the Afghan (Khaama Press).
This comes as the local officials in eastern Nangarhar province earlier said drone strikes have played a role in suppressing the activities of the loyalists of (ISIS) terrorist in Achin district.
The district administrative chief of Achin Ghalib Mujahid said the group has received major blows in this district during the recent months and their activities have become limited by a large extent.
