
At least 84 militants including 27 loyalists of Daesh terrorist group were killed during the counter-terrorism operations in the past 24 hours, Afghan Ministry of Defense said Saturday.
According to a statement by the Afghan ministry, the operations were jointly conducted by the Afghan army, Afghan police, and security personnel from the other institutions, including the Afghan Air Force, Khaama Press reported.
The statement further added that the operations were conducted in Nangarhar, Paktia, Paktika, Kandahar, Uruzgan, Zabul, Badghis, Herat, Farah, Faryab, Baghlan, Kunduz, and Helmand provinces.
The anti-government armed militant groups have not commented regarding the reports so far.
