
At least 29 Taliban militants were killed following military operations by Afghan national security forces in Afghanistan.
The interior ministry of Afghanistan following a statement said Saturday that the militants were killed or injured during coordinated operations in the past 24 hours, Khaama press reported.
The statement further added that the operations were jointly conducted by Afghan national police, Afghan national army and Afghan intelligence – national directorate of security (NDS) operatives.
The statement by interior ministry also added that Afghan national security forces discovered and seized various types of weapons and explosives during the operations. Taliban militants group has not commented regarding the report so far.
