
A prominent leader of the terrorist Daesh group was killed during clashes with the Afghan security forces in northern Jawzjan province of Afghanistan, Khaama Press reported Sunday.
According to a local officials, the senior Daesh leader, identified as Mohammad Nasir, was killed after launching an attack on security checkpoints in Darzab district.
District administrative chief Rahmatullah Hashar confirmed the news and said at least two members of the terrorist group were also wounded during the clashes.
He said additional forces have also been sent to the area to repulse the attack by Daesh loyalists.
