4 al-Qaeda militants arrested, 2 killed in Hodeidah

The security services arrested four al-Qaeda elements in asecurity checkpoint in Hodeidah province early on Tuesday, a security source atInterior Ministry said.Following arresting of the al-Qaeda elements, a group of al-Qaeda militants onboard of two car, one prepared for bombing, attacked the checkpoint in an attemptto release the four terrorists seized in the point, the source explained to Saba.The security men dealt with the attackers in a shootout, which resulted in the killingof two soldiers and two attackers and wounding of an officer and an attacker, thesource said.The source pointed out that the al-Qaeda militants fled to the mountains of Wossableaving behind a car rigged with explosives, which is being handled by specialists indismantling explosives.Tracking down the terrorist elements is ongoing in order to capture them and bringthem to justice, the source added.
