
As many as 120 Daesh fighters were killed in military operations in different parts of Salahuddin and Anbar provinces in Iraq, Iraqi Defense Ministry said in a statement on Tuesday.
Out of the 120, 18 Daesh militants were slain in a raid on a workshop used for making booby-trapped cars, according to a security source with Anbar.
Baghdad Operations Command forces killed nine terrorists, defused 99 explosive charges and demolished Daesh position equipped with a heavy machine gun during a security operation in eastern Al Karmah city in Anbar province, the statement added.
Also, the Iraqi security troops repelled Daesh attack in Tikrit city of Salahuddin province, killing 60 terrorists and inflicting heavy losses on them, the statement read.
