15 Egyptian fishermen released

15 Egyptian fishermen earlier detained at Osaif area, Red Sea State, for entering the Sudanese territorial water without permit were released Monday evening, announced the Spokesman of the Armed Forces, Col. Al-Sawarmi Khalid Saad. In a statement to Sudanese SUNA news agency today, Saad said the Egyptian fishermen were arrested on August 20, 2012 and were set free in response to the overture of the Egyptian authorities for releasing 109 Sudanese nationals who have crossed the Egyptian border during their search for gold.
