
Tanta prosecution ordered Thursday to remand 16 members of the terrorist Muslim Brotherhood in custody for more 15 days in custody pending investigations into violence and rioting charges, while 22 suspects were arrested in North Sinai during a security campaign.
The MB members face charges of joining a terrorist organization and committing violent acts.
In Arish, the 22 arrested suspects were referred to the prosecution for investigation.
During a security campaign in North Sinai, a number of hideouts used by terrorist groups were destroyed.
Ten explosive devices were found and blown up.
Meantime, nine people were injured in a car accident on way to Kharga Oasis, about 200 km to the west of the Nile valley.
