17 militants killed, 62 suspects arrested in North Sinai major operation

Seventeen terrorists were killed Thursday while 62 suspects were arrested during an extensive security operation that was launched by the army and police in the volatile North Sinai area on September 8.
Army and police units have continued "Right of the Martyr" Operation for the 11th day in a row to eliminate terrorist elements in Rafah, Sheikh Zuweid and Arish in North Sinai.
As many as 53 explosive devices were defused while 61 vehicles were destroyed.
About 42 hotbeds and 13 plateless motorbikes were burnt while a cave and seven gun cashes used by the terrorists were found and demolished.
