Anti-Drug Department personnel in Aqaba seized 180,000 pills in Aqaba, the Public Security Department's media center said.
The center noted that a follow-up by the department's personnel on all activities related to drugs had enabled them to gather information on people intending to smuggle drugs into a neighboring country. Based on this information, the department's personnel were dispatched to locations suspected of being used to prepare the drugs for smuggling. They discovered 180,000 pills, but none of the suspects were present.
The center said an investigation is still underway to identify those involved in this smuggling attempt.
