
The Syrian National Coalition and the National Coordination body (Local opposition) announced Friday that they agreed on a road map to end the ongoing war in Syria since 2011.
The news was carried by Sky News, citing a statement released by both groups following their talks in Geneva.
The road map stipulates implementing the recommendations of Geneva 1 conference.
The road map includes the formation of a transitional governing body, which exercises legislative and executive authorities, including all powers of the President.
The statement pressed for full and comprehensive change of the current political system in Syria.
For his part, Bassam al Malek, member of the Syrian National Coalition, called on all factions to sit at the negotiating table to end the Syrian bloodshed.
"There is Egyptian-Russian coordination to find a solution to the Syrian crisis," he added.
Syria has been witnessing deadly violence since March 2011 that left hundreds of thousands of people dead and injured.
