
Two primitive bombs went off Tuesday night in Fayoum with no losses or human casualties reported.
The first charge was planted near a power transformer in the surroundings of the municipal council of Tamiya city, causing slight damage at a parked car.
The second blast took place at Abdel Moniem Riyadh Square on the ring road to Fayoum city, smashing the window of a police vehicle in the area. The driver suffered slight wounds.
Bomb sappers moved to the reported scenes and combed the area in search for other explosives.
Assistant Interior Minister for Fayoum Security General Younis Al Gaher ordered prosecution to launch a probe.
