Security forces on Sunday arrested 24 residents of El-Hessa township of Qalyubia Governorate over cutting Cairo-Alexandria highway charges.
The defendants are also accused of disrupting the interests of citizens, attacking security forces and sabotaging a police vehicle.
They claimed that two young girls were abducted but investigations found that the young girls have willingly left the township and sold their earrings then headed to Shoubra El Khaima city of Qalyubia Governorate.
Meanwhile, security forces brought back the young girls to their families.
A probe was launched into the incident.
