The Assistant Undersecretary for Ports, Search and Follow-up at the General Directorate of Nationality, Passports & Residence (GDNPR) on Thursday said 288,622 people had entered Bahrain on March 24-30. He added 233,016 arrived from Saudi Arabia and other GCC countries via King Fahad Causeway, 52,276 through Bahrain International Airport and 3,330 through ports.
The 25-kilometre stretching King Fahad Causeway, the first manmade terrestrial link between Bahrain and Saudi Arabia, was opened on November 26, 1986. It has ever since been used by millions of travelers and vehicles, making it one of the busiest traffic areas in the Arab world.
