
Three explosions occurred in various parts of Baghdad on Sunday leaving casualties.
Ambulances and security forces rushed to Khelani area near Abdel Qader al Jilani Mosque and Bab el Sheikh district in downtown Baghdad where the explosions occurred, eyewitnesses told MENA.
However, the reasons behind the blasts are still unknown.
A security source said a booby-trapped vehicle went off in Al Amel neighborhood, southwestern Baghdad, leaving more than 10 civilians killed and injured.
Another car bomb detonated near the passports department in Al Mahmoudia, southern Baghdad, killing two civilians and injuring 13 others, the source added.
