Three people were killed and 12 others missing in southern Morocco when a bus crashed into a river early Sunday due to bad weather, according to an official news agency.
The report said the bus crashed into the river due to the flood caused by heavy rain near the city of Bouizakarne in southern Morocco, adding that such heavy rainfall was very rare in this semi-desert region.
One of the survivors said the victims were all relatives returning Sunday night from a marriage ceremony to the city of Guelmim. All roads around were submerged, he added.
The heavy rain made the search for the missing more difficult, the agency said.
