
At least 30 Kurdish fighters were killed in twin suicide truck bombings on Hasakah city, northeast of Syria, on Monday, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) said.
SOHR added that the attacks, carried out by two militants of the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIL), targeted checkpoints run by Kurdish fighters on the western entrance of the city.
The attacks occurred within minutes of each other, the SOHR said, adding a third suicide attacks was reported.
Helicopters dropped explosive barrels on several areas in Daraa, south of Syria, leaving six citizens dead and others injured, the observatory noted.
