
The public prosecution in Sharqiya ordered Saturday to extend the detention of four people for 14 days pending investigations over the collapse of a building in the city of Minya El Qamh.
Nine bodies, including seven children and two ladies, were pulled from rubble of the six-storey building which collapsed on Wednesday, while three others were injured.
An arrest warrant was issued against the contractor who is responsible for the collapse.
An expert committee including engineering professors would present a report for the prosecution over the collapse.
Governor Khaled Saeed expressed condolences for the family of the victims during a visit to their current residence.
He asserted that all people responsible for the deadly accident would be brought to justice.
