
Rescuers have pulled five more bodies of the victims of a fishing boat that capsized in North Sinai after a container ship rammed into it.
The number of bodies recovered in the past hours hit 8 as three others were pulled earlier on Thursday.
Maj.-Gen. Isam Khedr, the director of Operations and Crises Management Center in South Sinai said the total number of the bodies recovered so far reached 25, adding that efforts were under way to recover two remaining bodies in Gebel el-Zeit area.
Badr el-Islam boat sank at Gebel El Zeit's Red Sea area between Ras Ghareb and el-Tor port days ago with 40 fishermen on board.
Thirteen sailors had been rescued.
Naval units, oil companies boats, and five other fishing boats are giving a hand in the search for the missing.
The ship responsible for the mishap was identified as a Panama-flagged vessel that was carrying 220,000 tons of cargo from an Italian port.
