
As many as 51 members of the terrorist Muslim Brotherhood (MB) group have been sentenced to three to ten years in jail over clashes during a demonstration in Sohag, Upper Egypt, on the sidelines of the referendum on the Constitution.
Four people were killed and a policeman and a non-commissioned officer were injured in the clashes.
Forty-two defendants were sentenced to 10 years in jail, three jailed for five years, six jailed for three years while three were found not guilty.
They faced charges including joining a terrorist group, possession of arms without license and use of force with policemen.
