Six people were killed and others injured amid skirmishes between two militant groups in the Libyan city of Zawiya, 40 kilometers west of Tripoli.
Armed clashes erupted between the militants in Zawiya's down town, and lasted till mediators from the two sides intervened to stop them, security sources said.
A meeting was held between the leaders of the revolutionaries and senior security officers in the city to defuse the tensions between the two militant groups.
The cause of the tensions dated back to a family problem resulted in killing a person earlier this year, and were renewed several times over the past few months.
