Six militants, including five women, were killed Friday when security forces clashed with a terrorist group on the outskirts of Tunis, Interior Ministry spokesman Mohammad Ali Aroui said.
Aroui added that two other terrorists were captured and only one policeman was injured.
Police in Oued Ellil area in the west of Tunis first tried to persuade militants to surrender after a house they were hiding in was surrounded following heavy exchange of gunfire.
