
Six people were killed and 43 others injured in a series of suicide attacks in Baghdad and Salahuddine cities on Saturday, a police source said.
The most powerful explosion occurred when a booby-trapped car was detonated at a security checkpoint in the New Baghdad district, southeast Baghdad, killing three people and wounding 13 others, the source told KUNA.
An explosive device was detonated at the roadside southwest of Baghdad killing one person and injuring eight others, noted the source.
He added that two persons were also killed and 22 wounded in a bomb explosion and a suicidal attack in a market in Tuz Khormato area, eastern Salahuddine.
No one claimed responsibility for the attacks.
