649 prisoners pardoned, 117 others released on parole nationwide

The Prisoners' Sector at the Interior Ministry decided on Tuesday to pardon 649 inmates and release 117 prisoners on parole from jails nationwide.
The prison service sector said it had formed committees to check on prisons across the nation to choose those eligible for release according to specific criteria.
The release comes as a part of the implementation of presidential decree No.311 for 2016 covering the amnesty for further penalties for some convicts on the occasions of Eidul Fitr and July 23rd Revolution anniversay.
