Seven Palestinian cars were vandalized in the Jerusalem neighborhood of Shufat overnight Sunday, Israeli news site Ynet reported. The cars were found with their tires slashed and the word "Ulpana" sprayed on them. Last Friday, vandals spray-painted "Death to Arabs" and "revenge" on cars in Neve Shalom, a cooperative village founded by Palestinians and Israelis to promote coexistence. Vandals also scrawled "regards from Ulpana" on vehicles and slashed the tires. Israel's high court ruled in May that the Ulpana neighborhood in Beit El settlement, near al-Bireh, must be evacuated by July 1 after the Israeli government sought an extension to an earlier May deadline. The term "price tag" is used by Jewish settlers to describe a policy to attack Palestinians and their property in retaliation for perceived anti-settler actions by the Israeli government. Attacks are usually carried out in West Bank villages, but there have also been numerous incidents in Jerusalem.
