
Five policemen, including two officers, were injured after two bombs exploded north of Wasit province in southern Iraq on Monday. Security sources said that two homemade bombs exploded in the way that security forces pass through in the Shijeriah area of Swaira district, north of Wasit province. The blast injured two officers and three policemen, they added. Meanwhile, three members of the Federal Police Fore were injured when an improvised explosive device went off in northern Baghdad. Police source said that three police men wounded when an improvised explosive device went off against their patrol in Tarmiya district, 30 km north Baghdad.
