Tanta prosecution on Monday ordered to remand in custody nine members of the terrorist Muslim Brotherhood group for additional 15 days pending investigations.
The defendants are accused of rioting, inciting violence, disturbing public peace and joining a banned group in the Delta governorate of Gharbiya.
In December 2013, the government declared the Muslim Brotherhood a terrorist organization, blaming it for a string of attacks in the country and banning all its activities nationwide, including their regular protests.
Meanwhile, security forces in the Upper Egyptian governorate of Minya arrested a worker in possession with 15 alleged artifacts.
Investigations were launched into the incident.
