
Maj. Gen. Abdul Rahman bin Mohammed Al-Saleh, chief of National Security Operations Center at the Ministry of Interior, said that the unified security operations center, 911, now includes all the relevant security agencies for emergencies, such as security patrols, traffic, road safety, and Civil Defense.
He stressed that it facilitates the coordination between the relevant parties and prevents duplication or conflict of jurisdiction.
Saleh said during a phone interview on Al-Ekhbariya TV channel that the new program now includes major partners such as the Saudi Red Crescent Society, the Ministry of Health, Ministry of Water, Environment and Agriculture, and the Ministry of Transport, along with many other bodies such as government secretariats.
Saleh pointed to the follow-up by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Naif of the stages experienced by the project as it was planned for this purpose.
Regarding the cancellation of the Red Crescent Society and the Ministry of Health emergency numbers, Al-Saleh confirmed continuation of their partnership in participate in some of the incidents that are linked to the Red Crescent, especially since some traffic accidents have casualties and the Civil Defense is responsible in other situations such as fires or detentions.
The work process involved is integrated with other entities.
Saleh also stated that the high-tech security surveillance cameras in the project also links the cameras in Al-Haram Al-Sharif, in addition to different areas in the Kingdom.
