
The Ministry of Interior said in a statement issued today that Jinat Damti Farid - an Ethiopian female national - was executed in Taif Governorate in Makkah region today because she killed Ghaliah bint Eidha bin Saeed Al-Harthi, a Saudi female national- by striking her with an ax on her head and back several times while she was praying, took two gold rings from her hand, and robbed a sum of money.
The Ministry said that the General Court convicted the murderer; the sentence was endorsed by the Appeal and Supreme Courts; and a royal order was issued to execute the sentence.
The Ministry of Interior affirms that the Government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud is keen on the preservation of security, the establishment of justice and the implementation of the orders of Allah Almighty against anyone who attacks the secured people and sheds their blood; and it warns anyone who tries to commit such actions that he or she will be punished according to Sharia.
