Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas urged Tuesday the international community to put an end to Israel's aggressive policy in order to avoid to drag the whole region to a new cycle of violence.
In a statement carried by the Palestinian news agency WAFA, the Palestinian presidency held the Israeli government responsibility for the ongoing serious escalation in the region and killing operations against the Palestinian people in addition to supporting settlement bidding.
The statement added that this escalation by the Netanyahu government indicates to Israel's continuing policy and its rejection to a two-state solution and its ongoing efforts to destroy what remains of the possibilities to revive the peace process and leaves the door wide open for committing more crimes.
The statement explained that there are contacts under way at all levels and the relevant authorities in international forums to stop these crimes against the Palestinian people.
