Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas said the Palestinians' hands were extended for peace based on justice.
Palestinians are against violence and extremism regardless of their source, he said during a press conference with visiting Romanian President Klaus Iohannis on Thursday.
Abbas said that in order for peace and security to be achieved, the Israeli government has to take decisive decisions to immediately freeze settlement construction, end hostile acts by settlers and respect the Palestinian sovereignty over Palestinian territories under international agreements.
He reiterated his welcome for a French initiative on holding an international conference for peace and forming an international support group to work on carrying out the two-state solution in accordance with international legitimate resolutions and the Arab peace initiative.
