Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas asserted that "through peaceful and diplomatic ways, we will reach our right and will establish the state of Palestine with Al-Quds as its capital to live side by side with Israel."
Abbas reiterated a call for the international society to provide protection for the Palestinian people against Israeli practices and settlement activities.
"We will continue our endeavor to get recognition of the state of Palestine from all world countries," the president said.
Such a recognition has been already decided by several countries and parliaments, he added.
Abbas was speaking during a reception ceremony held by the Armenian community on the occasion of Christmas in the Church of Nativity in Bethlehem.
