Giza Criminal Court has decided to retry former interior minister Habib el Adly over illicit gains over a defence team memo on "new evidence" in the case.
Adly faces charges of 181 million pounds in illegal gains during his service at the interior ministry between August 1, 1961 and end of January 2011.
Illegal Gains Authority accused Adly of exploiting his position as head of state security police and interior minister in achieving 181,163.358 pounds in addition to 503,000 pound sterling and failed to prove the source of that money.
