
An advanced Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) advanced course on combating drugs has today concluded in a ceremony held at the Public Security Officers’ Club.
Criminal Investigation and Forensic Science Directorate (CID) Anti-Narcotics director Colonel Mubarak bin Huwail Al-Merri presented the participants with certificates.
Addressing the ceremony, Col. Al-Merri stressed the importance of the course in keeping abreast with cutting-edge anti-narcotic technologies and protecting Arabian Gulf societies from the scourge of drugs.
The participants were updated on latest techniques in combating drug smuggling and trafficking, report drafting, search warrants and arrest procedures.
He commended the level of cooperation with GCC, Arab and foreign anti-narcotics departments, stressing the importance of coordination to combat drug trafficking.
