Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation Essam Fayed asserted that the ministry was keen on continuing development plans for the most needy districts with the aim of achieving sustainable development in the coastal and border areas especially in Sinai, Matrouh, Halayeb and Shalatin.
In a statement released Tuesday, Fayed said the Desert Research Center has made a great leap in the development of Halayeb and Shalatin region, noting that a second mobile solar-powered seawater reverse osmosis desalination plant in Shalatin town was completed.
