
The Arab Journalists Union (AJU) strongly condemned the terrorist attack carried out by two Tunisian gunmen on Bardo Museum on Wednesday, that killed 19 persons and injured 44.
The AJU underscored that it backs the Tunisian government and people in combating terrorism which threatens the life of the innocent citizens and stability in the region.
Extremism cannot be fought except by the unity of the Arab peoples and governments, the union noted.
It also underlined that it supports the Arab and foreign leaders, Al Azhar and the Arab League secretary general who denounce the terrorist attack which aimed at hindering the democratic process in the Arab country.
The union offered its heartfelt condolences to the Tunisian people over the death of the victims of terrorism.
