AL chief urges fair solution for Palestinian crisis

Arab League (AL) Secretary General Ahmed Abul Gheit said the pan-Arab body is committed to continuing efforts to reach a fair and comprehensive solution for the Palestinian crisis.
During a meeting with UN Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process Nikolay Mladenov on Wednesday, Abul Gheit said the Palestinian cause will remain the top issue for the Arab peoples.
He called for putting an end to Israel's settlement policy and resuming the Middle East peace talks in line with the relevant international resolutions.
Mladenov urged solving the Palestinian issue and stopping the Israeli malpractices that infuriate the Palestinian people.
He also called for coordinating international efforts to counter terrorism.
