Arab League (AL) Secretary General Ahmed Abul Gheit urged on Sunday joint Arab action organizations to adopt a unified effective and practical vision to overcome political crises, now hitting Arab countries.
Speaking at an extraordinary meeting of an AL committee, Abul Gheit called for developing new measures, plans and programs to boost joint Arab action in the coming period.
The joint Arab action organizations should work hard to meet the ambitions and aspirations of Arab people, particularly in areas that affect their daily lives, like poverty and unemployment, he added.
The meeting is held at a very critical time, he said, making reference to challenges and crises, currently striking the Arab region.
Abul Gheit called on the participants in the meeting to prepare worksheets on how to overcome Arab crises and submit them to the AL General Secretariat for discussion.
