Al-Jubeir: Syria crisis won’t affect KSA-Russia ties

Differences in views over Syria do not affect joint cooperation between Saudi Arabia and Russia, said Foreign Minister Adel Al-Jubeir.
Russia respects the principle of sovereignty of states which was confirmed by Saudi Arabia, said the minister.
Coordination and consultation is ongoing between Saudi Arabia and Russia to bridge the differences in views, Al-Jubeir tweeted Sunday.
“Russia is a superpower and an important state and we are keen to build excellent relations with them in various fields,” he said,
There are several joint projects between Saudi Arabia and Russia in the fields of oil, energy, and the fight against terror, Al-Jubeir added.
“We have great mutual understanding over regional issues topped by the Palestinian cause,” said the minister.
