Four helicopter's crew belonging to the Syrian regime have been captured by Al-Nusra Front and other Islamic factions in Idlib, northwestern Syria, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) reported Sunday.
The four crew members, including the captain and his assistant, were captured by fighters from Al-Nusra Front and other factions after an emergency landing caused by a technical failure near the village of Frika located in the northwest of the city of Maarret Al-Numan, SOHR said in a statement.
"One member of the crew was executed by shooting him near the place where the helicopter landed," the statement said, adding that "they dragged the captives to the locations of Al-Nusra Front and Islamic factions while the destiny of another member of the helicopter's crew is still unknown." The total number of the crew members is believed to be six at least, noted SOHR.
